Budget Title: Senior Staff Assistant (SL-3)
Salary: up to $53,000
The Watson School at Binghamton University (SUNY) seeks a customer-focused, sales-oriented marketing professional for the position of Graduate Recruiter and Marketing Coordinator to promote the values and strengths of the Watson School's graduate programs to prospective students.
Reporting to the Assistant Dean for Research and Graduate Studies, and working closely with the International Graduate Recruiter, this graduate student recruiter will assist the Watson School with marketing and promotion of its graduate degree programs. He or she will identify engineering, computer science and applied science institutions in U.S. and international markets, and yield the most promising talent from these markets by implementing a recruiting strategy that increases the diversity, quality, and overall graduate enrollment of the Watson School.

Duties:
+ Developing and implementing a strategic, tactical, and operational marketing recruitment plan, including:
+ Represent the Watson School and coordinate participation of Watson faculty and staff at various graduate school fairs, forums, conferences and meetings across the U.S. and abroad;
+ Coordinate and execute recruitment strategies targeted at current Binghamton University students;
+ Research and identify target markets and recruiting venues, analyze trends and assess effectiveness of recruitment events;
+ Develop and execute social media strategy targeted at key constituents globally and domestically in coordination with Communications and Marketing personnel
+ Develop and maintain promotional materials seeking input from key constituents, and monitoring and tracking for effectiveness
+ Develop/identify effective graduate student recruiting practices and develop strategic recruitment plans
+ Operationalize strategic recruitment plans
+ Assist in developing strategic pre- and post- admission messaging/branding (via print and web) for departments and set goals to determine message/brand effectiveness
+ Establish and maintain a dynamic, cooperative relationship with feeder institutions and Watson leadership, department chairs, department graduate directors, faculty and staff
+ Performance will be evaluated on successfully tracking outcomes of efforts and meeting established graduate enrollment goals for the Watson School
Requirements:
Required Qualifications:
+ Bachelor's degree in STEM, business, marketing, public relations, or related field
+ Two or more years of professional experience working in higher education admissions or a competitive sales/marketing environment
+ Experience in developing marketing campaigns with an emphasis on utilization of multiple tools to reach target market/s
+ Excellent customer service, interpersonal, presentation, oral and written communication skills
+ Proven ability to be culturally adaptable and work well in diverse environments and with diverse clientele
+ Familiarity with the graduate school application process
+ Data driven and familiarity of reporting & analysis
+ Proficiency with Microsoft Office and proven ability to learn and use new technology, including social media and university systems
+ Able and willing to work non-standard / varied working hours and to travel (domestically and internationally) independently
+ Valid/clean driver's license to operate a motor vehicle and ability to obtain a U.S. passport before appointment
Preferred Qualifications:
+ Master's degree
+ Familiarity with engineering and computer science graduate degree requirements
+ Experience in developing marketing campaigns with an emphasis on utilization of multiple tools to reach target market/s
+ Experience with Slate or similar CRM tool
+ Previous experience in graduate recruiting
+ Previous experience in domestic and/or international recruiting practices and fairs / events
