Job Description:/h3:
Researches, designs, and develops computer software systems in conjunction with hardware product development.
Principal Accountabilities

:Participates and contributes actively in Analysis, design and code reviews for small:medium size systems.
:Effectively works with internal and external customers to troubleshoot problems.
:Uses accepted or identifies new software tools and methods to test, debug and document applications.
:Demonstrates ability to learn and maintain current code base.
:Develops medium:large software applications and utilities.
:Directs small:moderate sized Engineering projects.
:May train new employees and assign and monitor their work.
:Collaborates with Electrical, Mechanical Engineering and Q and R on product performance requirements, design, test, and development activities.

Minimum Requirements

:BS in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or Physics and three years of related experience or equivalent combination of software or machine vision software development experience and relevant education (ex. AAS and 5 years).
:Good verbal and written communication skills.
:Three plus years experience with C, C++, or C.
:Highly flexible.
:Quality driven.
:Goal oriented.
:Able to participate in a team environment.

Preferred Qualifications

:Experience with Microsoft technology (Visual C++, C, MFC, .Net, Remoting, etc).
:Experience with Cognex vision software (VisionPro, CVL).

Physical Demands

:While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to access and manipulate various objects, tools, or controls.
:Requires the ability to use a computer on a frequent basis.
:Position requires the ability to understand and interpret detailed documents and drawings.
:Requires the ability to communicate clearly in giving presentations.
:Must be able to communicate clearly with fellow workers.
:The ability to travel to customer sites or technical conferences may occasionally be required.
